| Executive Chef Angel Ramos cultivated his talents for eight years at Candle Cafe. He has brought the innovative creations that he perfected at the Cafe with him to Candle 79, and has continued to take vegan cooking to new creative heights with a flare for combining the right mix of flavors and textures with multi-cutural influences. Chef Ramos has been acknowledged in the New York Times for his mastery of vegan organic cuisine, and he has consulted with other chefs on the menus for galas at The Plaza, Cipriani on Wall Street, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. Recently, Angel taught classes at D' Gustabus Cooking Scholl at Macy's Heral Square, and his recipes have been featured on Good Day NY and in national publications such as the New York Times, Vegetarian Times, and Pilates Style magazine. He is delighted to share his love of organic local vegetables in the delicious seasonal menus he creates for our guests. |
